Spring News 

April ~ May

Spring is in the air! This is always such a busy time of year.  Here are some updates on curriculum and important dates.

Math:  Currently, we are working with expressions and equations.  We are writing expressions and equations, and reviewing how to solve one and two-step equations.  Next we will cover coordinate planes and graphing points and lines.  Measurement will then be discussed with the remaining time we have.

Simple Solutions grades for the most part are high.  I told the students that at this point, no one should be getting lower than a 12/15 (C). 

Social Studies: Right now we are learning about the ancient civilization of India.  We are studying the geographic, political, economic, religious, and social structures of this civilization.  Next we will cover the mysterious world of Ancient China!

Important Dates

April 16: Inflatables Day (gym clothes)

April 21: No School

April 24: MANDATORY Spring Concert 9 am and 7 pm.  Wear jeans and black shirts!

April 30:  Field Trip forms due and $78
