Lauren M. Meek
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Middle Childhood Education in 2003 from John Carroll University and a Masters in Educational Administration in 2007 from Cleveland State University. I taught sixth grade in Cuyahoga Heights for one year as a long term sub and was then hired as a seventh grade Algebra and English teacher at St. Gregory the Great School in South Euclid, Ohio where I currently teach. As a past junior high retreat leader, a current pool manager of high school and college students, ski club and yearbook advisor, and avid sports fan of my students, I am always trying to find ways to positively impact the lives of young people – especially girls. GEMS has been an awesome experience for me as well as for my girls. I am extremely proud of our success!

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education in 1998 from Notre Dame College of Ohio. I have taught sixth grade for the past ten years at St. Gregory the Great School in South Euclid, Ohio. I am the mother of twenty-six and twenty year old daughters, as well as a twenty-three year old son. As a teacher, former Girl Scout leader for eight years, a past peer mediation moderator, and current ski club advisor at my school, I have always been interested in empowerment opportunities for girls. GEMS has been as much of a growth experience for me as it has been for my girls.
